The current AI landscape
Since ChatGPT was released in November 2022, the tech ecosystem has seen a flurry of new AI startups emerge, especially those building across Generative AI and investors are continuing to pour money into the ecosystem.
For example, funding to companies in AI more than doubled quarter over quarter to $24 billion (2024) — representing 30% of all dollars invested, the largest quarter for AI funding in recent years.
Why this has a significant impact on the workplace
We are still in the early days of seeing how Generative AI will unfold however, in the future, we expect most companies to adopt these platforms across various functional areas. For instance, there will be multiple AI tools for marketing teams, sales, product, HR and so on.
AI has proven to us that not only does it significantly impact efficiency, but some of the day to day tasks can be almost performed for us. Below you can find examples on how these tools can impact your workplace by domain function.
The Workplace: AI Tools

Our map explores the innovative start-ups poised to support us on a daily basis within a workplace capacity. Each group presents a host of unique opportunities, which we unpack in full below.
