Now, onto this week’s edition!
AI is advancing rapidly, with thousands of startups now contributing to the ecosystem by building tools and platforms designed to work alongside us. These include co-pilots, which assist and collaborate with users; generative AI tools, capable of creating content, images, and videos based on prompts; and AI agents, which can nearly fully automate complex tasks for us.
All of this has happened in just a few years.
In recent months, we have covered how AI is impacting the startup ecosystem by mapping out the latest generative AI tools, publishing one of the first AI agents market maps, and more recently, analysing AI unicorns and their key characteristics.
Following one of our latest editions on workplace AI tools, we have discovered a number of platforms building AI tools for sales teams which we will be covering in this week’s edition.
The current AI landscape
Since the release of ChatGPT in November 2022, the tech ecosystem has experienced a surge in AI startups, particularly in the field of generative AI. Investors have poured money into these companies, with Q3 2024 seeing $19 billion in AI-related investments, representing 28% of all dollars invested in startups.
Why this has a significant impact on the workplace
Though we’re still in the early stages, it’s clear that AI will reshape workplace productivity. From marketing to HR and sales, AI tools are already transforming day-to-day operations, enhancing efficiency and taking over routine tasks.
The next big trend: How to integrate AI into the workplace.
The Landscape: AI Tools For Sales Teams
To help navigate this evolving landscape, we’ve created a market map that highlights notable players and early stage startups who are building to support sales teams.
We’ve categorised the AI tools into four key areas:
Prospecting: Tools for building customer pipelines, generating presentations, and creating content.
Closing: Tools for contract negotiations, legal support, and customer onboarding automations.
Managing: Tools for retaining customers, providing support, and analysing customer behaviour.
Productivity: Tools for automating tasks, taking notes, and updating CRMs.
Disclaimer: Some of these tools fall into multiple categories. We have categorised each platform based on how they describe themselves on their marketing website.
Examples on how you can use these platforms within the workplace.
